Has anyone tried these boots to help mud fever and do they really work? I saw them advertised in the BHS magazine and wondered if they would be worth trying but am worried about whether they will make his legs too warm.

I am happy to buy him some if they will help but don't want to if I will do more harm than good or if they don't really work.

My vet recommended seeing how it goes but I don't want it to get any worse with winter coming I would rather prevent it.

Also has anyone tried the equilibrium massage pad and mitt and are they good?

Thanks :-)

I got the equilibrium massage pad & mit for my girlie & she absolutely LOVES it. She nods off when it's on - it relaxes her so much ! At first, I wasn't much taken with the mitt, but it is now a valued bit of kit for neck & shoulders. Can't recommend the equilibrium stuff highly enough & customer service is second to none !

I bought the equi-med boots last year to treat my boys mud fever. I had tried loads of lotions and potions, turnout boots etc and was pulling my hair out. These cleared the MF in about 2 weeks. I then continued using the boots the rest of the winter and if he did get the occasional scab it was gone within a few days. An excellent investment!!

Thanks for replying looks like I will be spending more money lol! Haven't had a horse with mud fever before and want to make sure it's under control.
