Equi-trek Space Treka. Will 16.2hh fit in the M size?

I have decided to get an Equitrek space treka as prefer side loading as easier for me when competing on my own and my horse prefers it.

The internal height of the M would this be high enough for a 16.2hh horse comfortably? I have seen a really nice second hand one but it's the M.

Not sure if it would be better to wait till an L size comes up for sale or go for the M?

If anyone who has a 16.2hh that travels in the M fine then can you share your experiences good or bad :-)

Hi,

I have a Space Treka M and carry two 16.1/2 horses in it no problem. I find them very spacious and easy to use and have plenty of width and height for both of them (ones an Irish Draught cross so slightly chunky too).
They both seem very happy to travel in it.

I had a Space Treka M for my 16.3 TB. He travelled perfectly in it and had loads of space. He has a fairly high head carriage and space was limited for his ears (but still comfortable-it wasn't as if they were crushed, they would just nearly brush the ceiling if he put his head up high) but plenty of room length and width wise. I recently upgraded to a Show Treka and I was talked into going for an L even though he had travelled perfectly in an M before. The headroom is better but he has LOADS of room length and width wise so much so that I had to move the partition over several holes-if I ever have another horse in there with him it's going to be travelling in luxury! I would imagine your 16.2 would be fine in an M. They are great trailers by the way-I love mine and it makes it so easy to go out competing on my own.
 
I have a 15.2 cob and an L. He travels great in it and never had any problems until I put him into my sisters M. He hated it and got so stressed I had to take him out. I hitched mine up and he went straight in and travelled well again.

L for me I'm afraid
 
We were looking at the Space Treka M-went to our local dealer who was great and had the M and the L-we are only travelling either a 15.1,14.3 or 12.2 -individually and actually decided to go for the L-just felt when we were in it that there was that bit more space.Also then have the option of if ever getting anything bigger it will fit!.I have to say that I think the Equitrek are like Marmite-you either love them or hate them-we did buy brand new in October but the horses all travel fantastically in it and we love ours.
