Equi-trek Trailers - Honest views please?

I recently (in July) bought a 6T Iveco rear facing lorry, which my mare is not keen in going in! before I decide to sell it and buy an Equi-trek I really could do with some honest views and advice on them.. thanks :)
 
Unless you have the multi-trekker (herringbone) which takes a lot of towing, equitreks are rear facing too.
Our mare, who has always travelled well forwards facing in a 7.5 tonne Iveco is taking some convincing about our Show trekka. Otherwise I think they incorporate some very good ideas (the lockers are huge!) and it seems to tow well so far.
 
I'm umming and aaahing about them, and also looking at the big Cheval Liberte and Fautras Oblic trailers.
There have been a lot of posts in the past about the build quality on the more recent ones being poorer than on the older Equitreks. Not sure whether that's true or not tbh.
At Burghley the ones on their show stand all looked lovely, except that on the big Oli Townend HGV Equitrek, a couple of members of the public tried to open one of the upward-opening side lockers and it came away along the top edge, didn't look very sturdy at all. (the Equitrek guy was not impressed with what they'd done, said it wasn't set up to open or something, which I didn't understand tbh.)
 
If your horse doesn't like rear facing then I would be cautious. Kizzy was a little unsure the first couple of times in my Show Trekka, but then was fine. My new mare was ok immediately & travels very well. You will get loads of replies telling you these trailers are very poor quality, mine has been well used & a year on I'm still thrilled with it.
 
I bought a rear facing lorry as my mare started to stumble and once fell over in my IFW. I was advised that horses travel better rearward facing so bought the lorry. She doesn't seem to like the steep ramp and I think it must feel enclosed compared to an 'L' Equitrek.

I think the OT lorry suffered rather a lot at Burghley. When I went in someone had tried to open the fridge and the entire decor panel had fallen out and broken.

I noticed that in places round the windows there was a black metal trim, in other places, where you'd expect the trim, was black mastic. It's that sort of lack of attention to finish that worries me. If they don't care where it's visible, what's it like where you can't check it?
 
There seem to be more and more equitreks around. Although they look huge the owners all seem pretty happy with them.

There was a earlier post on this DG about how a wheel fell off, but I don't know how long ago that was.
 
I've had a 4 star trailer (old model) and have had a supersonic little lorry for 2 years now, they are brilliant. There have been a number of posts in recent months exposing quality of fittings and finishing off, and some trailers have had axle problems, I should do a search on here to find out a lot more but I'm one of the ones who would buy another like a shot!
