Equifest next weekend!!! Woop! Who's going?

There are so many different cob classes over the 3 days, I'm so confused!
FRIDAY
33 - Ridden Cob
SATURDAY
101 - Ridden Cob
108 - 109 - Equifest Ridden Cob ( I understand this one and the fact it has a lightweight and heavyweight class)
SUNDAY
246 - Ridden Cob

The only difference I can see is that 246 on Sunday isn't a qualifier for the Equifest classes. But why have a qualifier on the Friday and Saturday for exactly the smae class? Is it just to give people more chances of qualifying?

So in short ...
Which would be the best day to take my young cob, as in less competition for him? I don't expect him to come anywhere anyway but it will be good for him to go and see everything, but at the same time it would be good not to be laughed out of the ring by the Lynn Russell, Robert Walker types! Although I'm sure they're very nice and wouldn't laugh at me, just pity my poor horse with me bumping around on him!

Just looked at the schedule. How bizarre - two qualifiers (class 33 and 101), two "finals", 108 and 109, then class 246 which is just another ridden cob class.

They all have different judges so perhaps it is a chance to see which judge likes your horse best!

Maxi Cob is after the Ridden Cob in Sunday

I think Fri and Saturday Cob give people a chance to qualify and to have a warm up class, esp if travelling and staying over.
The Sunday ones are non qualfiers, just a normal show day of unaffiliated classes.

I expec the Friday one will be the smaller class, apart from the Sunday afternoon non qualifying one.

Hmm... well that clears it up slightly. I can't make the Friday class, so I guess Sunday would be better without the HOYS cobs there! Hopefully!

No point going on the Sunday, as I said, we wouldn't stand a chance, our schooling still needs a lot of work!

FMM - Went to RIHS and looked out for a coloured cob, but there was a few so wasn't sure which one you were to come and say hi! How did you get on?

Thanks for asking! We were the highest placed coloured in the LW class (very proud of him) - he was 4th and came above the HOYS winner froma few years ago, and loads of pros including Rob Walker, Lynn Russell, Danielle Heath, Magnus Nicholson. He gave me a fabulous ride and I just couldn't believe how well he did. You would have easily seen me as I had a big grin all day - hadn't even been expecting to get a rosette!

Have fun at Equifest - sounds like it will be a great show and you have some knowledgeable judges for some of your classes.
