I have been a lurker for a while now and found all the people on HHO very helpful I am now going to ask all you knowledgeable people for help on this.

I am going to a local show next weekend and there are classes for Equifest I am looking at doing some in hand and ridden, my question is in the ridden classes is there a ride judge at this level. I am only just starting out in the world of showing after dabbling in it last year. Sorry if it may seam like a daft question to some as I like to know what I let myself in for :)

We are running some Equifest qualifiers & we don't have a ride judge. Not sure if other places are the same though, I would maybe ask the venue- good luck :D xx

You might not have a ride judge at qualifiers but you will at the Final. The thing is with Equifest qualifiers that such diverse types of shows hold them, you get the local riding club show and also shows which run RIHS qualifiers :) We have been to two finals and the standard is very high, our horse was totally outclassed in the Ridden finals but it was a fantastic experience.

Thank you for the reply's I know that if we are lucky to get to any sort of championships then we will be out classed as we are not at a high standard yet (having only just started this showing malarkey):) but I am sure the experience will be something magical .
