i was looking into treating my horse to an equilibrium massage pad - but are they really worth it ? its quite a lot of money to spend, has anyone used them before and realistically do they work ???

Didnt think they were that expensive!!!

Bought mine with a magnet pad as well from Prequestrian for 189 on ebay

My horse loves it!

We have gone from having the back person every 3 weeks to every 8 weeks! Really worth the money.

My horse adores his! He actually demands his on everyday.

the equissage lady came to me last year to demonstrate the use of it... both ponies (one an oldy, one a baby) seemed to enjoy it... but didnt really make much if any difference to their movement ... defo not to justify the £1000 price tag :) cheaper versions would be more worth it

Love mine too

Use it for warming up and down and can really feel the difference if I haven't had time to warm up with it on first

Highly recommended!!

Equilibrium pad only 200ish

I really rate mine. I can tell when my mare hasn't had it on for a while, she is a lot softer over her back after regular use. She has it on every other day now :) It's the only time she'll stand quietly on the yard!

£200 pound is a lot of money for me thats ovder 50 bales of hay !! just wondering if i will see much improvement with it ?

defintiely worth the money - really notice the difference on a horse after using it prior to exercise.

Equilibrium is well worth the money - not so sure about the Equissage/Cyclossage - only used them a couple of times. For the difference in price I would go with the Equilibrium

thanks guys i will purchase one then !!! i wasnt 100% sure as you always see amzing reviews on their own personal websites but it seemed strange to me there were no 'bad' ones !!

I got mine through Preequestrian too although sadly I missed the offer for the magnetic pad (if only I'd bought the day earlier). Still, managed to pay under £100 I think it was for mine. No idea if it does any good but my horse seems to like it. The Equissage is different to the Equilibrium, it's heavier and a lot more expensive.

I got mine from local saddlery and wouldnt be without it, use it three four times a week and i am very impressed with the results I used it in combination with the magnetic back and quarters pad but was using on it's own in the start

My boy absolutely loves his massage pad - he stands there with his nose wriggling when he has it on! I got mine from preequestrian too - and got the magnetic pad with it. I have only used the magnetic pad a few times - but I do think the massage does make a difference. :)

Have got both the Equilibrium and the Equissage. I have to say that I notice more difference after a session with the Equissage. I do use the Equilibrium when I compete though as it is much lighter and more portable and Ginger Boy can wear it in the lorry.

Both seem to help.

My horse completely freaked out when we had our free equissage demo last year - he hated it. He's had an equilibrium pad for 3 years now though and has always loved it. It shortens your warmup time if used before riding (especially in winter). He's relaxed and soft and happy right from the start whereas, without it, he's always a bit clunky!
