Anyone have experience of the massage pad and how well they work? I have a veteran and a mare with spavin who I have seen by physio on a regular basis and until recently I also had access to an equissage which I did feel helped. However equissage now defunct and physio pregnant although I've found a new physio! Looking at the equilibrium I thought if it was good then itd

I have one and my horses love it.
I use it on my comp horse and my 2 retired horses.
My 26 yo lost a lot of muscle along her back through arthritis and a stroke and she looks great again i use it every other day

We thought long & hard about getting one, the price was so much cheaper than Equissage, so we wondered if it would achieve anything. We spoke to our Equine Physio about them & she said they were pretty good & good value for money. We bought one & use it after exercise & also put it on them after they've competed BS. They like it, it certainly helps with their back muscles, it actually warms & masages which is good.

We won't stop having the physio every 6-9 months but we feel they're good value & a useful piece of kit to have & use.

At the time I bought ours I got it from 'Prequestrian' on ebay, they were cheapest by far at that time. :)

Another vote here for them!

My two love it, both drop their heads, floppy bottom lip and chill :D

Aside from that, it does seem to have really made a difference. One used to be a bit cold backed so has it on to warm up and my other has had a sore back in the past. After about 6 sessions, both were better.

Still have the physio (McTimoney) out twice a year to check etc, but day-to-day, yep would highly recommend.

:)

Another vote I have regular physio but find pad relaxes tense , sharp thoroughbred making warming up much more chilled for both of us

Another hands up to sday I Love Mine! Got one earlier this year and it's brilliant, my boys both love it (one with arthritis and one with suspected spavin, bnoth veterans, both in full work). I think it really does make a differnece, and although I still have regular physio I trhink using the pad regularly has really helped with muscle tone, suppleness and relaxation for both my boys.
