Hi All,

I noticed in my horses passport that he had two innoculations of the above a month apart in 2005, i have googled and it appears to be a vaccination for Strangles, he would have been 2 at the time he was given the injections.

Does the fact he had these injections mean he had it or that he was given them as a preventative measure?

He had the vaccination as a preventative measure

This vaccine was discontinued, a new version is now available

The vaccine needs boosters annually so it is unlikely (I stand to be corrected) that the original vacc continues to give any protection.
