So after doing some research on here, speaking to David at equimins, i toddled off on friday and bought some Equimins Flexi-joint for my boy... and he point blank refuses to eat his feeds with it in... even in the smallest amounts he wont eat it, to the point that even when there is no other food in the stable, he will ignore the entire feed! I've been trying for 7 feeds between friday night and today, and he is still refusing. He's generally not a picky eater, and hasnt turned his nose up at any other supplement i've given him. Anyone else's horse done this? i'm a bit annoyed - bloody ungrateful animal!! :D

Yes, mine wouldn't touch it. My horse is the greediest, least fussy horse who would eat off the muck heap if given a chance. I decided it was the smell and ended up giving the whole tub away

Mine wasn't fussed on the powder, and is SO fussy but eats the liquid no problem

My boy is currently gobbling the stuff up, started him on it Friday evening as instructions stated, gradually introducing it to the feed. He's on to almost the correct amount and has shown no signs of rejecting it.
That said, it's very rare that he'll reject anything. The only thing he's ever rejected in his feed was bute, which he didn't need to be on for long luckily!

Think i might have to get in touch with equimins and see about a refund... after all they have a money back guarantee!! have just contacted feedmark and they're going to send me a sample of their bosweillia so i can try him on that before feeding it instead!

Initially mine weren't interested in eating it, I took it down to really little amounts again and after a week or so upped it slowly and both ate it no bother.

I've had the most minuscule amounts added and he won't touch it, if I don't clean the bucket before giving him a fresh feed he still won't eat it! if I give him a feed without it at all he gobbles it down...

Just started my lad on it, it does give off a strong smell but I think it smells quite nice actually...maybe thats just me!

He's not turned his nose up at it, another that gobbles it down.

does it smell chemically? I'm currently using suppleaze gold which smells very chemically and was going to try equimins next. Have you tried mixing it with some spearmint or a couple of crushed polos?
