what is it? never heard of it? can you tell us a bit more about scarlet and the abscess? we had a run of 4 last year but since I changed the way I do things we've not had one.
 
All it says on the website is can be used as a topical application or hoof draw - not terribly informative!
Scarlet had a massive abcess earlier in the year which took weeks to go. She was a little lame at the end of the week, but couldn't really find anything wrong. L rode her on Sat - 45 mins walking & she went suddenly lame on her return. Called vet & she confirmed abcess back. We are tubbing twice a day & poulticing twice also. Vet has also recommended a paste of iodine & sugar (?)
What did you change about your routine which helped get rid of them?

amanda I can't thank you enough. Over a year ago you replied to my thread about my horses 4 abscess in 6 months I was at my wits end. It was you that told me about forage plus and I took your advice and he now has their supplements. We are now 14 months and counting abscess free (hope I've note tempted fate there). I am very grateful that you saw my thread that day!
