After another looooooong absence from the forum due to final year degree exams, Puzzles is back, woo! :D

I would've posted this in the careers & education section, but there wasn't a 'new thread' button for some reason. :/

So basically I am trying to plan a route into training as an animal behaviourist & trainer, especially re. horses & dogs, & maybe farm animals. However as with these things there's no typical route. I'm planning to do a Masters degree next year (I need to earn some serious cash first) but re. experience and other courses/qualifications, it's very confusing & overwhelming to know where to even start. Also, they're so expensive so I don't want to do anything unless it's really going to help me.

Does anyone either work as an equine or animal behaviourist/trainer, or know someone who is who wouldn't me emailing them?

Thanks guys!

I dont know any behaviourists but im doing a degree in behaviour, science and welfare and we do training next year (im in my first year).

I do know of someone who says she is a behaviourist after just doing her BHS exams.

If you dont want to go through uni again, im sure there are probably some short courses available. Have you asked your vet or at the local colleges offering animal care?
