Equine Artists??

I am thinking about getting a painting done of Fiddler (head and neck) for my birthday, trouble is i havent a clue where to look for equine artists other than through recommendations and needless to say i dont know any myself!

So im looking for a artist who paints the horse capturing a likeness and its character from the photo they have been given. Probably watercolour but not really bothered other than price wise

Sooooooo.....

can anyone give me some recommendations of these kind of artists or is anyone on here able to do this kind of thing - it will be my one and only painting of him so must be something very special so prepared to pay a little bit more for that extra something that other artists cant capture

my dad is an artist and does amazing pictures, you just send him the pic you want and he will do it in watercolour or pencil, reasonably priced too!!!!

Was quite expecting it to be done in pink pencil though LOL
