A friend from home has lost her horse to atypical myopathy tonight, her second horse in three years to die of the disease. The two horses never met and they were kept in different villages, let alone different fields.

Just a little note to make everyone aware that this horrible disease is rearing it's ugly head again and to keep your eyes pealed for symptoms; any stiffness, dark urine, depression and possible choke signs with no obstruction.

Any tips/information gratefully recieved.

RIP Jack... a much loved horse who I know will be sorely missed.

Welcome to the FB group, if you do have any questions post them in there. Several of the members have first hand experience of EAM - positive outcomes as well as sad losses.

Sorry for the loss of your friend's horse :(
