Helloo,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any auctions in the North West happening between Sept - November? :)

Hoping to get a couple of Sec B/C to keep my lad company.

I know there is Clitheroe auction, which is only 10 mins away from me but usually the choice of horses there is limited!

Thanks for your help :D

Beeston in Cheshire is everyother wednesday I think

you get quite a few welshies turning up there and a few coloured cobs a couple of weeks ago went fo £300 each

Holmfirth every Saturday?
Most of the time very poor turnout but I went with a friend a few months back and some quite nice onces being sold :)

I go to auctions in Cumbria, Sec B/C not very common, some at Carlisle but not always.
Harrison and Hetherington have online catalogues a few days before.

You may be better buying from a breeder. Check ads on Horse Gossip, something nice and well handled costs the same or maybe less to keep than one which may have gone through several sales and be ''messed up''.

Thanks will have a look :)

I've been in touch with a few local breeders and they've suggested auctions first, and if I don't find any there then I'll have to wait till spring. Most of their stock is already reserved

Thanks :D

York horse sales is having a welsh sale on September the 2nd and if you go on to the website you can view the catalogue although there are always more on the day and they do sell cheap especially at this time of year. Its worth the trip.

Ruthin farmers auction has a welsh only sale. They run it twice a year and the next one is September I think.

Not exactly north west but not far to go
