OK, who has completely changed their career direction and started a career with horses.... All beit working with them on yards, dentistry, back expert etc? How easy was it, and did you need any particular qualifications?
The reason I ask is this....
I, at present, work in an office.... boring but pays the bills. The thing is, when I started here (over a year ago) I was promised training to become a Purchasing Manager and earn more money etc. Well, this time last year, they made 3 people redundant, so now we are on skelenton staff (and before this everyone, except me, were given pay rises. I was told come Sept my job/wage will be reviewed etc)
Well, after the redundances, my review was put "on hold" and after lots of promises, nothing has ever happened, and I am now stuck in a rut, and can't move up, as there is no one to take over the "basic" job I started with!
Well, a few weeks back, we have all now had to take a 5% pay cut which has really p*ssed me off, as everyone who had a payrise has just gone back to their original wage, but I have lost money!!
To top it all off, I am the "purchasing" person who colleagues are mean't to look up to and get guidance from, and instead, they just go over my head, and ask someone else! I am trying to save the company money, by not spending un-neccesarily (sp) and get moaned at because we don't have stuff in stock..... damned if I do and damned if I don't kinda thing!
I am now thinking about going back to working with horses, but want to do something a bit different than working on a yard (I use do this about 7 years ago). Wondered if anyone had done this, and found it to be the best thing they done, and how hard it was, extra training etc needed!!
Please help, I am at my desk, holding my mouth shut so I don't loose it and storm out!!!
BIG triple choc cookies all round!!
