I am making a website and I am hoping to feature several equine charities, I already have one, which is set in stone. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Redwings, WHW, Donkey sanctuary, mare and foal... I would say World Horse Welfare comes high up!

Please consider Shy Lowen. It's an amazing place. Not only do they take in all sorts of horses and ponies, they work to rehabilitate and then loan out any that are suitable. 'They' are often kids, as Shy Lowen is in part run by kids from the local estates in Bootle, Liverpool. Coming from very un-horsey backgrounds, they learn how to work with the horses and how to train them, and as the Care Committee they are responsible for the day to day running of the place. In the process, they learn a lot themselves. There's a very moving Channel 4 documentary, orginally called Teen Horse Whisperers. You can watch it here: http://vimeo.com/54937192. It's not a smart charity. It's not a rich charity. It is, though, one of the most amazing places I've ever been, and it needs all the help it can get. Shy Lowen's website is www.shylowen.com. Thank you

Hope Pastures near Leeds, they moved heaven and earth to find a place for a poor old mare we saw advertised by people who clearly had no idea how to care for her. Like many others they are full to bursting and in need of all the support they can get. And ditto Shy Lowen, they do a great job.
