I recently bought a horse and vetting showed up some lumbar soreness. Vet advised physio/sports massage. My boy saw physio today and I'm unsure whether to be worried or not. Can't rule out kissing spine apparently because of where the pain is, but no sign when ridden and vet specifically checked during vetting and said there was "plenty of room between the spinous processes." I am looking into chiropractors in the North Somerset area and/or equine sports massage experts so I can see if this would be another route to explore while I see if today's treatment has helped. Thanks

I use both chiro and sports massage at alternate times especially in the competition season.
If you are worried seek to get a xray as that's the only way to really diagnose, but lumber soreness can be due to a badly fitting saddle or not being worked over their back correctly.
I wouldn't panic just yet.
