equine dentist shropshire

Hi, can anyone recommend a good equine dentist in the north shropshire area. Also I seem to be coming across arguments about dentist versus vet when it comes to teeth what do people think is best? Do people recommend sedation as routine when dealing with teeth?

I use Robin Harding from Hanmer, his number is 07949206858. He handles the horses very well and has been great with my old donkey, spent ages getting what teeth he has left into usable condition. I would definitely recommend him.

Use a fully-qualified EDT or vet who has passed the BEVA exam, like the qualified EDT's have. See the BAEDT website for their current list of members and lots of information.

I'd second that! I'm lucky in that I have a vet who is very good with teeth - and I use him for the odd one that needs treating now, or for those who WILL need sedation. And then I have Robin for everything else (I have him booked for 2 full days in September!) He's very good and very patient - horse handling skills are a great substitute for sedation in most cases!!
