Is non routine dentistry covered by insurance? By routine I mean more than the usual check and rasp. Our chap has had to have some major 'power tool' work and the bill is huge + he needs a repeat performance in the new year?

The work was done under vet's supervision by the way.

I think that the insurance company would pay, however if your horse is unfortunate to get something like a tooth abscess later on (which can be very expensice) I imagine they will put a clause on any oral procedures
