I have just rang to book 3 of my horses in for their 6 monthly check up, and been told that the prices have gone up to £45 per horse! How much do you guys pay and can anyone recommend a good EDT in the Bucks / Oxon area? Thanks..

Think mine was £25 but went up this year to £30, £45 sounds very expensive, Colin Hill is a good equine dentist, think is based in Berks but may cover Bucks?

I pay £25 in Derbyshire which is quite good compared to some places but considering it only takes about 20 minutes still seems a lot!! I guess I'm paying for his expertise but he likes doing my mare as she's one of the rare ones who enjoys having hers done!

Mine charges £10 first time and then £20 6 months later, no charge if they don't need doing, she is trying to get her business underway... PM me if you want her number, she is in Worcs area.

Mine charges £20. They are visited every 6 months - he charges nothing if they don't need doing. I think we are advantaged though as he lives 2 minutes away!

Mine charges £35. But he is BRILLIANT i have used a lot of the dentists in this area and 2 of them made a real mess to the point my old one had to go to the vets!

I wouldnt use anyone else but this guy, i have him every 6 months but hoping to drop to anually when his teeth are sorted out (they were a mess)

Having used the vet and the EDT i would always choose the EDT, the vet did what i needed took the hooks off but they have not enough dental experience to rasp the teeth in a beneficial way, so all you get is the worse taken off, no shaping or restructuring

Mine was £30 but gone up to £35 this year but worth every penny. They are brilliant.

i used grant chanter and im in bucks, i think he is £35.00 but i have him out to just my horse so the travelling cost isn't split
i wouldn't use anyone else, he is so good and patient with them and he even managed to do my horse with a serious head shy problem i didn't think this horse would let him anyware near him.
