Evening,

I need to make up an equine first aid kit - currently horse hunting and want to have everything ready for when I find the right horse (which is taking a long time!).

What do you have in your kits and are the complete kits that are sold worth it?

I'm thinking that I need;

Wound powder
Iodine spray
Vaseline
Sudocream
Scissors
Sponge
Cotton Wool
Cohesive Bandage
Latex gloves
Gauze pads
Bandage

Is there anything really obvious that I have missed?

I also have Melolin (from Boots), savlon/udder cream, syringe (just for squirting water etc, not with a needle!), animalintex, gaffa tape, thermometer.

This is whats in mine more than what you will need and should really have just cos one of my girls is very prone to getting ill and infections all what you have plus

- spare sachets of anti-bs
- danilon always make sure i have 10 spare in box just in case
- animalintex x 3
- thermometer
- syringes
- spare needles for injections and syringes
-melolin dressings (i get from work)
- drapolene cream
- aloe vera
- hoof boot
- nappies
