i have:

vetrap
soffban (padding bandage)
treatrap (conforming bandage)
melolin/animalintex (to apply to wounds when bandaging)
intrasite gel (good to apply to wounds when bandaging)
scissors
purple spray
cotton wool
salt or saline solution
bottle of clean water (to mix with salt or to flush wound)
cling film (in case of burn/scald, although i know these are not too common in horses)

Think thats everything!

Make sure you have bandages, whether its vetwrap or just any old bandage - they are forever coming in useful in my lorry!

One thing we always have in our horsebox now apart from usual first aid stuff is a tube of sedalin.
This is just in case we have a breakdown in a nasty place.
Learnt this when we had a front tyre blow out on the M1 at 5pm in winter. Fortunately we had my wifes horse on board who is very relaxed but even she was starting to get upset by the lorries speeding past as we sat on the hard shoulder. Had my horse been on board he would have gone mental.
Hence always carrying the sedalin now
