Thankfully I am far away from the flu outbreak and hope to remain so... hence the post! My friend is in Yorkshire and she says there has been very little focus on humans as vectors for the disease. People are moving between yards without taking any precautions - even professional people. If you are going to be at more than one yard, change clothes and wash at least hands and face between the yards. Question people who visit your yard - farrier, saddler, vet - have they done this? If not, do you want them on your yard? Or could you provide overalls for them and a wash station? Keep that virus contained!!

my thoughts too a farrier or instructor for example going from yard to yard could potentially infect horses. mine are unvaccinated as theygo no where not even hacking out with others and they are kept at home. it is a worry.

Are these professionals ignoring notices and walking past the virkon foot bath and hand soap/towel that has been provided without using them on arrival/departure?

For anyone who doesn't vaccinate it is especially important that you provide facilities for people to use before they enter your yard. And you need to make sure they use them.
