Equine Grass Sickness Dissertation.

Hi All

I am currently studying for an BSc (hons) equine science degree, and am about to start preparing work for my dissertation. I am looking at Equine Grass Sickness, and the potential of a toxin in the development of the disease.

I am looking for people who have had grass sickness on their land and who are willing to participate and allow me to test for toxin in the soil. I am looking in the yorkshire area but appreciate that it is rare so will travel to obtain more results. The soil test is harmless, all i will do is come and collect some soil then take it back with me for analysing. All information given will be kept confidential.

Should you not be also testing for toxin in the herbage, that is what they eat, and it is possible for a toxin in soil to be taken up by one species of herb and not by another
