I imagine most of you are like me and will happily pay money on a regular basis to get your horses back, teeth, saddle etc etc etc checked to keep him happy and comfortable. And maybe like me in riding lessons your horse is still crooked or stiff or resistant, so you get his saddle and back and teeth etc etc etc checked again for any issues, not realising that its our own imbalances that are affecting our horse, or not knowing how to change them. I'm looking to train in equine massage and bio mechanics and then combine it with my current work as a Personal Trainer (specialising in postural and kinetic chain assessment, advanced flexibility and functional training).

Do you think this could be a good business idea? (i.e. would you pay for it?!) Would you be interested in having someone watch you ride, see the muscular imbalances in yourself and the effect they had on your riding and therefore your horses movement, and could give you appropriate strengthening and stretching exercises for yourself as well as being able to provide massage and bio mechanical analysis of your horse. I like the idea of a holistic view of both horse and rider, rather than just looking at the horse or just looking at the rider as individuals, but i wondered if there is a market for that type of work. Thanks!

yes, i would use this service, call me when your qualified. i will willingly be your first client, as i suffer with right side S.I.J problems.x

That's great, thanks guys. I'm hoping to start working on my equine quals in the summer once i've got a few more of my human ones out of the way, so watch this space!

I think if you become genuinely proficient in both areas then you could make an extremely successful business out of them!
