My horse is due to see the physiotherapist tomorrow as I think he may be stiff or have a slight back problem. Just wondering if anyone can share experiences your horses having treatment from a physio and did it help? Thanks!

mine has been having a coure of treatment since last oct. she wasn't really moving as well as she should and she had started bucking on one rein. turned out was very tight behind saddle and stiff in neck and shoulders and twisted in pelvis. physio watched her move first on lunge than does lot of stretches and exercises in the stable. now several months on and fourvisits later she is a different horse with several people comenting on how well sheis going and moving. was alwaysa little sceptial of things like this but have to say worth the money and veryimpressed.

Thanks, sounds just like what has been suggested with my horse, he has started to do very little bucks in canter and he is not a bucker really. My trainer said he felt very stiff from behind and reluctant to engage himself. Looking forward to the visit now thanks!

I have the physio when my mare doesnt feel or look right, but not in a lame way if tht makes sense

i can always tell if theres something not right, like something just needs putting back into place.
You can definately tell the difference and see it for that matter, as he'l watch thm move before he treat and then again afterwards.
I definatley recommend it, they also must feel better for it, not like they can deep heat any aches and pains

My physio has really helped my mare and has spent hours with her. She also took the time to show me excercises I could do with my horse in between her visits.
