I really hope there is an eqiuine physio here who could answer a couple of questions for me. I live in France where the discipline doesn't exist and I urgently need to help my horse.

I should add that I have the opinion of a vet - when showed the book on core muscle exercises the comment was 'ah, we don't do that sort of thin in France'. The mare gets acupuncture but we urgently need to try to build muscle up using static exercises. I've managed this successfully before with another horse, different problems, but I don't have the knowledge of exercises for her problems. If she doesn't get help or a chance of it there will be nothing else to do than euthanase. Surely there is someone on here who does equine physio????
 
I don't think she's on HHO, but you could try this physio practice which I use and see if one of the physios may advise you over the phone. Best make it clear you're prepared to pay for their time. They strictly go with vet approval, but seeing as you have had a vet out, it's got to be worth a try. Head honcho Rachel was equine team GB physio at Rio :).

Thanks so much for this. I have phoned them and am about to send an email to Rachel with lots of info. Hopefully she can advise with a specific exercise programme. Thanks again Tiddlypom, I'm so grateful for your help.
