Hi

We are looking for a planning consultant that can help us get planning permission for permanent stabling and hard standing.

Ideally we would like recommendations of someone that has experience in working with Waverley Borough Council. We recently successfully applied for change of use from agricultural to equestrian and the building of a manage, but all of this was dealt with by the contractor that installed our manage.

Any recommendations would be gratefully received, we are sitting on clay and we need to act quickly so as to not pollute the school etc with the horrendous mud we get for 8 months of the year!

I used Equestrian Design and he was excellent. Got me exactly what I wanted and batted off the council's idiot queries and attempts to spend my money.
 
Many thanks, was there someone in particular you dealt with? Would you be prepared to share what they charged for their services?

We're also using Equestrian Design (Andy Woodward). Our planning application is with the council currently but he did all the pre-application advice and hopefully has negotiated something that they'll now approve. You can call them to discuss your ideas, they'll find your site with satellite images to help discuss what they think will be possible. We're in Hertfordshire but I know they work all over the country. Charges wise it will depend on the number of site visits and distance from them. We only had to have one site visit and they did all of the stable and barn designs. They will tell you upfront how much their services should cost.
