Good morning!

I am interested to hear any views or experiences, good or bad, on equine podiatrists.

I have struggled to find a farrier or trimmer in my area who i was happy with and i was getting very concerned with how my young tbs feet were looking, so a friend recommended the podiatrist she uses.

I really wish i had taken before and after picture. The difference is scary! He watched her walk and trot then explained everything he did.

So anyway. I was interested to hear if anyone had any opinions on what they do, positive and negative.

Thank you.

I honestly don't mind what a person doing foot care calls them selves it the job that they do that matters.
As long as your horse is sound IMO a horse ought not be made lame by a trim then use who you are happy with be guided by your common sense and study and learn for yourself theres loads of imformation on the Internet buy books ask people etc etc.

Oh absolutely.

Im not for or against any type of hoof care as long as it works for the individual horse and owner and its caried out by a knowledgeable, competent person.

I was interested in peoples experiences of using one.

I was really happy with the work carried out om my mare. Its the first time in months i've felt happy about how her feet look post visit.

There are two areas in horse care Im realy nervous about and thats feet and saddles!!

I had one out for teh first time last week and was impressed - horse's feet looked lovely afterwards and she gave me a lot more information than my farrier ever has done previously :) My horse has good feet tho and didn't need much work doing
