Have you thought about giving driving lessons to those of us whom are lucky enough to have transport - but a bit wossie to drive it with horses on? - you could probably make as much if not more by sitting in with them rather than taking them - i know i would gladly pay a couple of hundred quid to get some horse expert to sit in with me for 3 or 4 sessions as my dad is no help, my mum frets more than me - and i dont want to go on my own just yet

thx what a great idea gingerwitch never even thought there would be a call for that besides the transport i find myself spending time doing loading problems with amazing results that by the end the horse loads itself turns and stands waiting to be tied up with no lead rope

Do be careful - I think this advert breaks the forum T's & C's, as well as being in the wrong forum (if it is acceptable).

Personally I would downsize the box. My folks do horse transport and never require a large lorry as the need to travel 5 horses at a time just isn't there. It has been quieter this year than last aswell so don't beat yourself up if the order book is not as full as you'd like.

Good luck with your new venture.

Hi, The transporters in our area seem to have a big box but seem to use the 3.5t boxes now as say more economical with one horse and much easier to manoever in the tight yards, lanes etc they need to go down. Not saying swap of course as some horses like mine :) wont travel any way but herringbone.
