Equine Vet Essex - Recommendations

Hi

Could anyone recommend a really good equine vet in Essex to do a vetting for me? It's for the most expensive horse I've ever bought (aaargh!) so I want someone really knowledgeable. I was recommended Mark Albach at Oak Equine but he's abroad for 10 days.

I have heard that Chris Harris is very thorough, as is Jane Jackson and Chris House (from house and Jackson)

Anyone from House & Jackson (Blackmore) - can vouch for Eric and Ralph's skill and knowledge.

I've always used Paton and Lee, they have always been on time, fab to deal with and very good! Honest too, if there's something wrong or a bit suspect, they will tell you (sure others do too, just never used anyone else!)

Where abouts in essex do you need? Chris Harris is actually based on the herts border but will travel.

I recommend Jonathan from Paton &amp; Lee - he has been fantastic in my experience and is very honest - also will give you <u>his</u> opinion not just the textbook's one.

Have heard from a couple of friends down my yard that Eric and Ralph are good at H&amp;J

I rate Ralph for treating ongoing conditions, but for a vetting, I'd say Erik at House and Jackson - he's very thorough!

Have heard very good things about these - especially Tony who was very supportive when my friend had to have her horse put down.
