I will quite possibly be looking for a second opnion in the near future for my horse after speaking to my normal vet (again to night to give him a progress report, see thread in vets) as I'm not convinced with the options that have been given to me. I will try these out but failing that I want someone else to have a look at the horse, so can you recommend a blooming good equine vet in the somerset/dorset area, I'm just outside of wincanton. Thanks in advance!

The stables at shepton mallet is good. Ask for the more senior vets if it's a complicated problem (sorry, I've not read your other thread).

Not sure how far Langford travell. I use stables equine, Tim randle or nicko Robertson. Can't fault them!

Lots of good vets in Somerset- The Stables, Garston, Francis & Jackson all have experienced horse vets on board.

Langford would be something to consider, they have a lot of new equipment (new equine hopsital just opened) such as CT scanner and MRI, if a brain tumour is on the list of possibles then I think you would need this sort of equipment to prove it. I've not got any experience of horses with brain tumours, never diagnosed one so can't help there, but I hope you get it sorted :)

Langford are definitely worth a call first class facilities / equipment, brand new hospital wing just opened, specialist vets who are top of their field and are extremely passionate, they also manage to remain extremely competitive cost wise.....
