Equine vets near stoke d'Abernon / Cobham, surrey

Hi all,

Missed my mares vaccination date by 5 days so now have to start over again Had my vets out to do the first jab and they charged nearly £150!!! This is because of the call out fee as they are quite a way away from my current yard in Stoke d'Abernon.

I cant afford to do this twice again in the year - that would be almost £450 in a year on jabs!!

So can anyone recommend a vet local to my yard to come out and do her jabs? My vet did her teeth while he was doing the first jab so its really is someone just to do the veccinations.

I cant find a vet more local than guildford and their call out is still nearly £50...

You don't say who you currently use so apologies if i mention people you are already aware of: I use Southern Hills Equine, but they are on the other side of G'ford from you, there's Shotter & Byers - Dorking-ish, Cobham equine practice (mobile i think) There are quite a lot of others but if Guildford is too far then they will also probably be too far away. I hope you manage to find one.

Priory Vets in Reigate do free call out days (I know Bookham is Tuesday so I'd guess Cobham would be the same day) so if you book a visit for that day all you'd have to pay would be the price of the vaccination, which was about £35-40 last time I had one done I think. I can't remember what their usual call out charge is though, I have most things done on our 'free' day, lol!
If not Mayes and Scrine cover the area too, but I don't know what their call out charge is- is there no-one else on your yard you could share call out with?
