Just called about a horse for sale, sounds really good in every way but it has got a really bad case of warts, not in area that is causing a problem but the horse is obs cheaper because of this. Shes only 5 and i understand that alot of youngster get them so is she worth having a look at. Shes a fair way from me so dont want to waste a journey?

Thanks all

Difficult to say. Some horses do get juvenile warts which disappear never to return. We have a horse where this happened and you'd never know now. But there is always the risk that they could actually be sarcoids. I'd maybe ask the owner to send some very detailed photos to you and talk to your vet before travelling a long way personally.

She was treated as a 3yr and again ready for sale, they only banded the biggest ones and not all, so a vaccine hasnt been used, but did a google search and its very postive about the success rate of the vaccine.
Think im going to have a look she ticks all my boxes and is 800 under my budget, plus ive got a trial,
Hope shes as good as she sounds
