My parents are thinking about selling my Albion K2 Jump saddle and getting maybe the Equipe Expression one for Christmas for me :) Anyone had any experiences? I like the look of the knee rolls, as I need something to keep me in the saddle ;) Or any other saddles/brands I should look at, for jumping.

Thanks.

Saddles are very individual, so you really need to try several on your horse & jump in them to get a clearer picture of what saddle suits you both. Ring around until you find a saddler with more than 1 jump saddle in stock!

I am going to have a saddler come round (my usual one) who stocks a variety of brands and saddles. I just want to know if anyone has any experiences of a particular saddle that they like.

I have an equipe and love it. However I hate big blocked saddles (including the albion!) And much prefer flatter saddles. My mare loves it as well. I have the single flap though which is probably more minimalist than the double flap.

I have both the mono-flap and the double flap - not that much difference between the two to be honest.

Absolutely love them both :D

Ive just gone from a Stubben Roxane with big blocks to an equipe expression and i love it and so does my mare :) she has a very big jump and can be sharp hence why i went for the stubben, but the Equipe feels so much better and she moves and jumps a lot freer in it :)

In comparison the the K2 the Equipe saddles have tiny knee rolls. Don't fall into the trap of thinking knee rolls keep you in the saddle. Often less is more!

One of the best saddles I ever had was an old jumping saddle that had a wide flat seat and not a block or knee roll on it.
