Hi guys,

Has anyone brought a sold anything through the Equipt app ? I have seen lots of “influencers used it” but not sure if normally horsey folk actually use it ?

If you sold think how long did it take your item to sell ?

Or are there any other platforms you have used to sell equestrian items that don’t take a fee

I need to raise some funds due to my excessive vets fees at the minute 🙈

Selling a range of new, lightly used or use but good condition items . Including bridles, clothing, jodpurs, riding boots, other bits and bobs of horse tack not sure where’s best these days .

Any advice welcome

My daughter and I have sold stuff on her, seemed pretty straightforward but their interface is a navigation nightmare! If they sorted that it would be good. But we’ve bought and sold with no issues. Its safer than buying from FB.

I may give it a go and let you know how I get on .

Great how long did it take your items to sell I am just wondering if it’s mainly sellers or if people actually use it to shop on ? Thank

It seems if influencers stick stuff on it sells but I put some decent items on and nothing so removed it and closed account. EBay pays immediately now and no fees for clothes.

I find the app so slow and the range of stuff on there is limited…

Also postage seems to be bonkers! It must advise a postage price based on weight or something because I’ve noticed the prices of postage are far higher than eBay Vinted etc

I have added some items postage definitely is questionable like one item could have gone in a large letter (but the smallest is a small parcel costing £3.95 45cmx35cmx16 . The items only a few pound so no one will buy it 🙈 . Maybe if someone buys something else I can combine it but not sure tbh . Hopefully the range will improve the more people use it 😊

I think it’s the equivalent of a vinted for horsey stuff isnt it? I’ve browsed a couple of times but the app seemed abit clunky (might be better now). I do see adverts and have purchased horsey things from vinted before (girths, saddle pads)

Otherwise you could try selling via local horsey groups on Facebook? Be careful with Facebook marketplace though as there’s so many scammers about

I just use eBay, I did try the Facebook groups but got fed up of scammers and to be honest I prefer the security of eBay. Vinted occasionally has stuff but not much

Surprisingly, not very long! And it was stuff like old brushing boots that we had tried to sell at tack sales. Nothing wrong with them, but just not the "fashionable" brands such as premiere equine or LeMeuix. They were pretty cheap and someone bought all three pairs as a bundle. We also sold some jods, and a Neue Schule bit which I found no one would pay for at a tack sale (was being offered £20!!!) whereas I got £40 which seemed much more realistic price. I have also bought stuff and its all been very straightforward. As I said before its the search facility needs to be a bit more user friendly and their need to look at why it is so slow to pull up the search categories. But on the whole its an site I am happy to use, and I would add we are not social media influencers....
