It can be replaced when the damage gets a bit too much, and it isn't in the areas where it is intended for drivers to see it, but I'm a little bit disappointed that it hasn't lasted very long. (Had it 4 months, and hack about once/twice a week..??)

Anyone else??

I have only bad things to say about equisafetys customer care, doubt you will get any joy with the company.

Nope but we bought one not the polite one so probably equisafety...
Sprayed the horse with fly repellent and the hi viz melted!

If used a deet based fly spray this will happen to anything plastic coated and things like nail varnish will melt .

I'm really safety conscious and love a bit of hi viz but really struggled with the breast plate and really needed something for the oncoming traffic to be able to see us especially given that I ride a black horse. I invested in a fluorescent hat for horses. Bit like the crocheted ear things that the show jumpers wear but the ears go through holes. It's brilliant and the drivers can really see him coming especially when we are trying to cross the roads popping out from bushes! I can't remember the name of the company that make them but if you want the details let me know and I'll look.

Haven't tried to contact the company yet, bought it via robinsons, so will CC them into the email. I think it's pretty shoddy craftsmanship though, will be interesting to see what they say if they reply.

I also ride a black horse so being seen is important to me. Any info on the hats?? Not sure how well it would be accepted by the horse though...

My v-bandz leg wraps started to do that that BUT only after about 5-8 years (two pairs bought seperately) heavy use, including numerous times through the washing machine. The v-bandz neckband still looks like new after a wash, and I've had that around 5 years too. Basically my experience is that the v-bandz stuff is really hard wearing!

I've had v bands leg things for about 4 years, and they were second hand from someone on here!! Very disappointed in it. It started off just flaking off a bit and then progressed to what's in the pictures.

Forgot to add, leg bands are still going strong after several cycles in washing machine and heavy use through all terrains!

Mmmm, I think its called ViBandz or something similar....... sorry can't remember exactly what or how they spell it, but know the thing you mean, have got one, its fab.

My horse has a tendency to be a little head shy but he doesn't mind it being put on and doesn't even know its on. They come up quite big. I've got a 16.2 TB type and I got a full size but could have done with a cob. They come in yellow pink and green! And they Velcro round the bridle. I love it. I got mine off of Facebook but these guys do them too. http://igotahorse.com/vmchk/For-The-Horse/HiViz/490-Hozhats.html

It's great when we have to edge out of the bushes onto a road crossing and lots of dog walkers have commented on it. I think he looks a bit like a super hero in it. Makes me chuckle!

I thought it was just me who wasn't overly impressed with their customer service!

I have a few of these - one of them (the thinner one) has peeled like yours with very little use, the others are still going strong - so far! x
