Equishure

Hi

I'm a long time lurker and have just bought some Equishure, my gelding has symtoms of acidosis. How long should i give the equishure to work.

My boy has a history of Ulcers, that were successfully treated, but in the past couple of weeks (co-inciding with some new haylage) he's showing signs of discomfort. I would prefer to have him on hay, but at my yard there isnt anywhere to store it.

I saw a difference in 3 days, but I think you'd want to give it a couple of weeks to know really. Also it depends on the other conditions at the time and whether those affect him eg. changes in the grass, more/less turnout, stressful situations etc.

I really really would try and swap from the haylage though. Could you get hold of wrapped hay and store that? A yard I used to be at had wrapped hay, the bales looked from the outside like haylage but it was hay.
