Dear all
I'm currently using auboise and absolutely love it, except for the cost. I've been looking at equi sorb as it's cheaper and 'supposed ' to absorb more. Does anybody use equisorb? Also what weight is an equisorb bag?
Thanks

Well I don't generally use bedding as mine live out now but this year I have had to put something down in my field shelter. I have in the past used Aubiose and liked it so I got it for my shelter to try and keep the ground dry. I changed to Megazorb as I found the bags easier to carry across the very muddy ground to the shelter and I do think it has kept the ground drier. Although it is cheaper, the bags are lighter and less awkward to carry but obviously contain less product so not sure how they compare price wise. I think it might be a British product, which was another reason for changing but I am not 100% sure of that.

Thanks, I'm currently using the auboise in my field shelter as mine live out too. I'll have a look at the megasorb as it kills me carrying the auboise up the fields

Megazorb is brilliant bedding. But I would only use it with rubber matting in stables. I would not deep litter with it.

I have used both. I was on Aubiose for my very messy gelding and like you liked it except for the cost.. I tried megazorb (similar product).Bags quite light easy to lift etc. But I found it very heavy and smelly when wet and not that convinced by it. So now I use Aubiose in his 'wet' patch and use cheaper shavings on top. This works quite well as now not having to use so much Aubiose. I have mats too.

I use laysoft - £5.60 a bag so doesn't break the bank. I find if you dont soak it it lasts longer
