So YO decides at great expense to buy an Equissage, orders one at Olympia and arranges for all liveries to be at the yard this morning for a demo. I was very interested as my neddy has just had surgery and I understand this could help.
Well one a a half hours later and the rep hasn't turned up and hasn't even bothered to ring and explain why!!! Additionally when YO made the appt two weeks ago the rep asked if there would be any other persons purchasing one, YO explained that 'no' that was why she had bought one. Rep seemed to be annoyed and just hasn't bothered turning up - How unprofessional!
Anyone else had this problem?

That is very bad manners. As a sales rep myself it is just about the biggest no-no. She obviuosly doesnt want any referrals or repeat business!

yep, weve had exactly the same attitude. Two different reps have called to try and set up a demo.....all very interested but nobody seems to want to come back with the machine.

IMO they are a waste of money anyway but you would think these people would at least want to try!

Had the same thing with a 'nutritionalist' (Id rather call her 'sales woman') from a feed co. Gave lots of advice re feeding their products but never followed up with the sample bags or more scientific info requested.

We had one at our yard last year and we all used it for the 1st month and really found it made no difference to our horses at all, a really good grooming session and a rub down works as well, it then broke down and YO decided not to go on with it, it was very expensive

Also havent had good experience with these people

The first sales rep we had on the yard was incredibly pushy and ended up being there for well over 3 hours. I then made the mistake of contacting the company directly at one point for a price list and was bombarded for the following few weeks.

Wasnt it the owners of equissage (Viagra or something?) that were featured on a "Tonight" program or something similar back last year as having terribly pushy sales people? I distinctly remember watching a program with a company trying to sell the elderly some vibrating chairs and their sales staff were horrible

We've got one on the yard and although it was used rather a lot in the first few weeks, I doubt the battery packs are even charged now. The only benefit I really saw when using it on mine was that it seemed to cut down on wam up time by 5 mins or so. Our chiro and physio slate the machines though :/

dont waste your money. It looks good on paper but you are better off learning how to do 'carrot stretches' from your physio. A better system actually exists from germany which envolves a whole body rug that vibrates this uses warmth as well as vibration and magnets but even this ends up sitting on the shelf in the rug room!

Sorry to hear about that... I used to work for them and I went to quite a few appointments where I knew there was definitely no sale to be had, but because I thought customer service was important.

If they did not come they should have telephoned to explain why they could not attend, especially if there were a lot of people there waiting for the demo!

I have to say I do think the product works, because since terminating my employment with them (I didn't like the pushy sales idea) my neck has returned to being a problem whereas when I was working with the hand unit every day, my neck was fantastic!
