Has anyone got one or had experience of this? I arranged a demo when I was at Badminton and the guy is coming this weekend.

I just wondered how effective you think they are and whether you noticed a (significant) change in your horse etc.

Thanks

I used to sell them! Was always funny seeing people's faces when you do the trick with the marble.

Anyway, I firmly believe that it is an amazing piece of kit and every yard should have one. I know I used to sell them but I state this from personal experience of using it on my own horses. It can help improve just about every aspect of the horse. My old eventer had the most horrific feet you've ever seen and we struggled with them continually, but the difference in them from using Equissage was increadible.

One thing I would say though is that I think its over priced, I thought it was over priced when I was selling it back in 2000 and it was 1800 for the full kit back then. I think it means that a lot of people who would benefit hugely from them are priced out of the market. Certainly do not buy the hand unit as they are identical to the ones for human use and you can pick them up on Ebay at a fraction of the price. The pad you don't have much choice as you can only get it from them. And if you have a choice of cordless or not definitely go for cordless. The boot is also a worthwhile investment but only if you've got a horse that will stand will with it on.

If you've got any other questions feel free to PM me.

I have one - I bought the whole kit in December, back pad, hand held and even the carssage, they threw in the boot and the bag, this set me back nearly £3000. I bought mine for my horse with a weak back, I had been using it and I thought that he seemed happier with it on. My osteopath for the horse said that it had not done him any harm, but at the same time didn't think that it had helped him either. The jury is out on that one, but now I have it I try and use it as much as possible to get my moneys worth. Personally I agree with Kate260881 they are very expensive but if you have the spare time to use them properly then I cannot see how they wouldn't be beneficial. Also go for the battery powered, they are so much easier, the only problem that I have is that it is a big piece of equipment to lug around so make sure you have space!!

i have seen the equilibrium massage pad about they are much cheaper but dont now how good they are dont have one but am thinking of buying one hope this helps

ok i cant say whether it is just the equissage or the combination of that and being fed cortaflex but my older horse was a lot less stuffy in his movement (now retired) but i use it on my jumpers about 3 times a week and take it to away shows with me.

the hand held unit is brilliant for muscle strains too.
