So, last Monday evening my OH measured me up and I ordered a pair of the 6.5 extra wide calf (I have 18 inch calves).

OH paid for 1 day delivery at the grand total of £10, so we expected them to arrive on Wednesday....

No sign....so OH rang them on Thursday...they were in the factory having ankle guards fitted as my ankles are too slim for my calves.

No sign on Fri or Sat.

Anyway, they have arrived today.

Foot fits nicely.
Ankles, even with the guard, are still very roomy.
Zip fits up my calves very easily. Supposed to be 16.5 inches with 2 inch pull on the elastic bit, but they zipped up very easily round my calves.
Gap round the top, but hoping they will drop a bit, thus fitting a bit better.

Thinking maybe I could have fitted in the next calf size down....will have to see.

Not ridden in them yet. So, now I have my almost brand new Serdio Grasso gaiters for sale!

I have them and find them very comfy to ride in, i did cripple myself when i did an inhand class!! huge blisters!! lol mine have dropped but still abit gappy at the top but overall a good boot.

Pictures?

Thank you for this -i want a pair of Equitectors as well. Nico measured my legs (oo.err !) at Blenheim a couple of years ago and i was too chunky for ANY boots then, but i have dropped a ton of weight since then and am after a pair of Short/Wides when i have the money!

Oh, quick q- what are ankle guards?

I'm on my second pair. I really like them. Normally struggle to get a boot to fit my skinny ankles! They will drop a bit & soften up loads. My first pair lasted 4 years

Mrs M, will post pics tomorrow.

Ankle guards don't really consist of much tbh. A small leather pad that is fitted on the inside of the boot at the back of your ankle.

Looking forward to riding in them tomorrow.

I bought some short XW ones last week in a local tack shop, they had the 1 pair in the sale for £110. I have mega fat calves and they fit like a glove no gaps or anything.

I haven't yet ridden in mine but have been wearing them around the house! Was going to ride in them tonight but then decided that baby horses 1st road hack was probably not the best time to test out new boots!!

Mrs M I will try and get some piccies of mine on for you 2moro
