I am due to give birth in 3 weeks' time and now that the house is nearly finished, we are in a position to get our Equitrek FINALLY on the market after intending to do so since the Autumn but just not getting the chance.

With only 3 weeks to go, I thought I might try and go direct to the dealer we bought it from and see if he will take it off our hands, as I'm even too shattered for ebaying things tbh! Well he came back and said £3400! :O I am a little shocked to say the least, as it is only 2 years old and is the space trekka L model so not exactly undesirable. They seem to fetch about 4.7k (ish) at around this age 2nd hand.

I know he has to make a profit but I also know he will probably get 5k for it off the forecourt, but I'm caught between a rock and a hardplace rather. Any other ideas how to advertise reasonably cheaply with good success rates?

I have very recently just bought a Space L. The dealer told me that they don't depreciate and if I did want to sell mine in the near future, he'd be delighted to have it, because he said 'supply can't keep up with the demand'.

I think you could get more than that. I only bought new, because all the used ones for sale when I was looking were not really much cheaper than brand new, and I'd get the warranties if I went for a new one.

I think the dealer wants to make a tidy profit, which he will do if you sold it to him for that.

Thank you. This was also my thinking. :) He said to my husband that if it is in mint condition (which it more or less is) then he'd give an extra couple of hundred! :O I told my husband to tell him no way! I will find another way.

I think I will just have to pull my finger out and think of the extra money in the bank once I've managed to sell it!

Yes you will! Just sent you a PM but not sure if it worked as still getting used to new forum! Can you send me your number? Would love to get a few more details! x

I've always been successful by putting an advert on Horsemart. I've sold both my trailers within days of placing the Advert. Take about 3 photos showing it at various angles. Take your time & write out a thorough description answering all questions you would ask as a potential buyer & then post the advert. If it's as good as you say you will have no trouble getting the money you want for it.
