Ok, so I made a definate decision last night - my Ifor 505 is going and being replaced with the equitrek multi trekka. I want to have a proper look at one, but none of our local stockists get them in. We have two dealers within 100 miles, but neither stock the multi trekka. They can order it in, but what if I don't like it as much when it arrives?

Does anyone in Suffolk/Norfolk/Essex have one that I could have a nosey around? Or does anyone have one that they would take some inside pics of for me? I have looked at all the pics on the website, but would like more of "tour" than they give.

I was considering this too and posted a thread on here - someone who actually has one (they dont seem very popular) said it was very narrow. If you do a search you should find the thread.

I hired a show trekka a while ago to see what it was like and I wasnt impressed by the build quality, although it was several years old.

I have one!!!!!!!!!!!! I got it at the beginning of June as a replacement for my show treka which was horrible, cheaply finished and my horse nearly got stuck in the jockey door aftertring to escape over the front bar!! To point I have been over the moon with it. I have travelled my 16.2 stallion in it (the one that got stuck in that nasty incident in the show treka and he loves it.........just stares out of the window!! He fits fine herringbone and turns with ease and there is room i think for another of similar size on with him, however not tried it yet due to only having mares of that size to go on with him! I have travelled three ponies easy as well as pony stallion with a mare as there is room between them. I have modified my partitions... i have had the telescopic arm made longer so that i have more adjustment herringbone wise and i have made them taller because i travel horses.
It tows beautifully and as i said im over the moon with it at the moment (honeymoon period??? i dont know but was dissappointed with the show trekka immediately!)

I did!!!! I went to see a 2 year old 4 star and tried a horse on it as I was unsure. There should be no difference size wise between the old version and the new version but whereas i was not convinced after that occassion clearly I now know that my horse fits.I do not know what the difference is between old and new but the dealer I got mine from was generous enough to bring it to my house for me to try my horse on it before I bought it and i had no difficulty in turning etc, whereas the "old" one seemed less inviting for whatever reason. The build quality is certainly much better but mine is an ex demo so maybe that is why??!!! I still love my fautra though and being lucky enough to be able to keep the 2 i am now covered for every scenario.
I agree about seeing before ordering one though. I would not have had mine unless i had tried the horse on etc first. I used Nick Kerner from near windsor and the dealership were very helpfull and I live in staffordshire.
