What is the correct latin name for the domestic horse? I'm writing my dissertation and need to know, so all opinions would be appreciated!
Is it simply Equus caballus ? I've seen it listed in journals as Equus ferus caballus, but as 'ferus' is the latin root for the word 'feral' surely this would be more suited to wild species like Przewalski's horse?
