Hey everyone

I have the opportunity to trial and purchase a Erreplus Jump saddle for my young horse(rising 7)
My current saddle is Ok, but puts me in a shite position where I feel useless, and Im not convinced it fits her big shoulders great either but is the best of a bad bunch.
A lot of friends have Erreplus shoulder free saddles and rage about them.
Their expensive though, at 2.5k second hand and Hubby trying to talk me out of taking a loan for it.

Anyone have one and can ye recommend?

Personally I think they are a little Emperor's new clothes and had a good run with sponsored riders etc. to cause excitement and people to think they are revolutionary.
A bit like Aviar too.

Try one and see what you and horse think but I would recommend trying other brands, in the same price bracket, at the same time.

I've ridden in very expensive saddles (for other people).
My horses usually have 2nd hand for less than £200/each.
Last year I splashed out on a 2nd hand Amerigo which was 10x that price and I love it but wasn't stuck on a particular brand- it was something my saddler recommended would suit me and my horse (and as I bought it elsewhere, he didn't benefit financially).

having trialled about 15 saddles now the ONLY treed saddle my boy likes is an Erreplus.

i am just arranging to have it on a longer trial to be sure, but its the only one he got better an better in rather than more and more tense.

sister has used them for years (competing very succesfully at small tour).

i wouldn't put them in the same gimicky bracket as Aviar/Evy tbh-they are very horse comfort focussed.

I’ve had 2 dressage and 1 jump. I’d honestly never ride in anything else now. They are fantastic, so clever in their design.

I’ve had the Vitoria, Connect and JF.

I have one and love it but try it and see if you and your horse even like them first. Also, worth bearing in mind that whilst they're adjustable, your saddle fitter needs the lamps to be able to take them away and heat the tree. Not all sellers of them have this and depending on the fitter will depend how long you are without your saddle for

I have a jump one as well and I love it, pricey but worth it I think. I also have both fairfax dressage and jumps, I love the dressage to bits but it doesnt fit my new horse. I always struggled with riding flatwork in other jump saddles and find the erreplus better than others but it still doesnt come close to a dressage saddle.
One of the best saddles i have ever jumped in though.
All down to having a good saddle fitter as well

I have ridden in an erreplus dressage saddle and it was super. I believe they are worth the money and am going to get one for myself - though it be second hand and just under 2 000. The seat is deep, the leg position is good and fits my horse perfectly. The quality of the workmanship is fantastic.
