Ertugliflozin

Hi

My horse had an insulin of 71 and went on ertugliflozin. After a month we retested and now 72. Of course level could be higher without the drug but do some horses not respond? I think the plan is to stay on the drug but does anyone get in online? Many thanks

Friend has a cob who hasn't responded to it - insulin levels gone up.

I got it online with a private prescription. The vets charged £30 for the prescription so that took a chunk of the price saving though.

Some horses don't respond to it, sadly.

Ours was 88 and went to 5 within a week. It worked a treat.

There are meds in the US that have great results. Off the top of my head, Insulin Wise is one of them. That may be worth a shot if you're able to get it but it might be cost prohibitive.

My pony lost significant weight on a course of it but her insulin remained exactly the same at 100.
