I'm looking for a set of boots for my new big girly. I want them for everyday use, we won't be jumping for some time, unless we happen to meet a log whilst we're out and about.

I'm new to boots, other than tendon boots on the front when jumping. Had some expensive SMBs for Tiggy, but found them difficult to put on properly. I want ones that are easy to put on and that offer good protection for long gangly legs. I'm happy to spend whatever is needed - Christmas pressie to me

.

I've seen the Eskadron Cross Country, and Mark Todd Leather tendon boots, and Dalmar (but don't know which ones). When we get round to proper jumping (other than the logs), I'll get some specific boots.

I like my John Whitaker tendon boots - I have had both the plastic and leather versions, and I like both (plastic ones are easier for everyday use). I also like the Kentaur range....although if you want the real deal, have a look at Equiport

I have a posh set of the nice white Veredus Prolight jumping ones for Star.

Day to day though I just use woof wear double velcro and Trizone overreach boots. They are both hardwearing and easily washable.

I wouldn't bother with the SMb's anymore personally. There has been talk of them overheating tendons in the past.

Also a vet I had out for a vetting told me that they give minimal support anyway.

I just like using a l/w easily cleaned boot to avoid injuries.

I have the leather Mark Todd tendon & fetlock set. They look very smart and clean up well. However, they are not very generously sized. I have a full size and they only just fit round my boy's legs and he's not particularly chunky.

I have the dalmar leather tendon boots and fetlock boots they are fantastic, have the carbon inserts along the back and are easy to clean - they look fantastic too!
Theya are also very easy to put on being velcro - i did like the eskadron leather boots which were similar but i had major difficulty in getting the fronts and back boots to match!

I'm assuming your horse brushes? In which case, I'd suggest a pair/set of brushing boots - Woof Wear is the best IME. When you start jumping, if you want some protection for the tendons, maybe then think about tendon boots.
