Have had a pair of sheepskin over reach boots for nearly three years, they are only ever used for competitions or posh lessons. I washed them on a 30 delicate wash cycle and used delicate liquid detergent with no problems.

They were large and a bit big for Diva so I donated them to Blitz and bought a medium pair, exactly same style and after about 6 months they have disintegrated

They have barely been used but the sheepskin has just rotted

Took them back to where I bought them from who said they would send them back to Eskadron - have just heard back from them they want to know how hot I washed them and what washing powder I have been using.

I understand that they need to check I haven't boil washed them but to ask which brand I ahve been using seems a bit steep! I think it was Asda's own

but I can't be sure and if they run tests and it turns out to be Tescos will I be in trouble?

Anyway my point is I am not sure I will buy them again even though they do look lovely

They were not cheap
Seems a bit strange that the original pair are fine and the new ones are not

My fluffy eskadron tendon boots died, the fluff just comes out in tufts.
They only lasted about 2 washes, in the bin now.

That's exactly what happenend to these!

I have them as well and mine are lasting fine - being used daily and washed often (I was on 30 degrees and use NuuWash or soap flakes) - had them for about 8 months.

Maybe they have changed manufacturer?

Weird. I have the Eskadron tendon ones and the sheepskin is absolutely fine on them and thats after about 2 or 3 years use now! They are generally thrown in the washing machine on a low temp with usual washing gel-tab things.
