Can't see how they were breaking the law though. It is all about intent. They were not intending to hunt, they were following a trail, so didn't break any laws.
It will be very hard to prove. Tony wright was prosecuted because he fully admitted intent but misinterpreted the law. It's not illegal for dogs to hunt wild mammals only for people to hunt with them.
My money is on...nothing happening. How the hell are the antis /police going to prove what they intended to do? Get out the lie detector? Use truth serum? Torture??
I think thats the case with all the coppers! Ours only turn up if an anti rings up to report an "illegal hunt"! Even then they don't know what to look for, so as they can't keep up with the hunt across country, they will look through the woods for foxes carcasses! And yes this is true, it happened to me the other day when I was hacking back from the hunt! I was pi**ing myself laughing! Especially when one of them realised I had been watching them and asked if I had seen a man with dogs!
I replied that alot of people walk their dogs through that particular wood.
He told me " You know what I mean, a hunt."
And I said no and walked away! I was never asked anything else, even though I was dressed in my hunting gear and it was perfectly obvious that I had been hunting!
